Day 1

Day 1 Learning Objectives

Using the ACMP’s Standard for Change Management© as our foundation in Day 1 we focus on Module 1. Organizational Change as a Strategic Business Advantage & Module 2. Analyze Organizational Change Impact.


Our learning includes the following:


  1. Change basics including the organizational benefits of change and the goals of change
  2. Three process models for change
  3. Distinction and intersection between the disciplines of: change management, project management and change leadership
  4. Understanding the benefit of and how to analyze organizational change impact
  5. Identifying and assessing stakeholders for change

Day 1 Prework

 1. Be prepared to discuss the question "Is change a strategic business advantage? Why or why not?" 🎤

Our learning includes the following:


  1. Analyzing Stakeholder Impact
  2. Focusing on critical stakeholder roles of Leaders and Change Agent or Champions for Change
  3. Defining and differentiating the Change Strategy from the Change Plan
  4. Understanding the connection between Behavior and Change and how the Behavior Cycle works

 1. What are some ways you engage people leaders in your organization to help drive change? 🎤 


2. Thinking about leaders within your organization select which role of the following they have the most opportunity within: 1)Communicating for change, 2)Advocating for change, 3)Liasing for change or 4)Coaching for change? 🎤
